From start to finish of installing our parquet floor in our hallway Troy was very efficient and knowledgeable, we had an old parquet floor in our hall which had not been looked after by previous owners of our house so it was not salvageable, so with Troy's help we chose a new oak parquet which is beautiful. He also refurbished our dining room parquet which looks stunning.
We would recommend Troy to anyone considering a new wooden floor or refurbishment as he has a lot of experience and his workmanship is top class.

Back in November 2013 I had the need for the services of someone
with expertise in the renovation of wooden parquet floors. I had to
raise and dispose of a carpet in my lounge due to water damage. I
had been lead to believe that underneath was a parquet floor - sure
enough this was what we found - albeit in a very forlorn and
extremely sad looking condition with paint splattered all over and
a few 'fingers' missing here and
there. To
me, it looked very doubtful with regard to possible restoration.
However, I had heard that there was someone in Cirencester that
undertook this work and I contacted Troy at AUTHENTIC WOOD FLOORS.
Following his inspection Troy was fully confident that there
wouldn't be a problem - even with any missing pieces. Work
subsequently commenced and within 3 days I couldn't believe the
transformation, absolutely amazing. Obviously quite a lot of 'big
machine' sanding but at the same time amazingly little dust -
followed by three coats of 'treatment' and the floor being able to
be used very shortly afterwards.
Extremely pleased - 100% - with
the end results to the extent that Troy is making a return visit in
a week or two to do the same in the hallway - having found another
hidden gem under that carpet as well!!
Just to summarise - I would
have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Troy and AUTHENTIC
WOOD FLOORS to anybody with similar work to be carried out -

a dramatic water leak stripped it of its natural colour, turning it
black. He discussed in great detail how he would repair the
flooring causing us the least amount of inconvenience as we are a
